THE MEMBERS
MECHTHILD STARK She is born in Karlsruhe Germany . Studied Recorder and Early Music Interpretation in the University of Heidelberg , where she has been graduated with Honnors. Continued her studies in Switzerland and Netherlands . Has given concerts in Germany and in Greece where she works since 1990 as a teacher and performer.

NIKOS NIKOLAIDES He is born in Athens . Studied Mechanical Engineering in the Universities of Liege Belgium and Athens where he has been graduated. Studied Recorder and Early Music Interpretation in the “Ecole Normale de Musique” in Paris with Mannfred Stilz. Founding member of the Ensemble, has performed concerts and participated in Radio and Television recordings.

MANOS AVARAKIS Âïrn in Athens . He studied recorder and performance of Baroque Mussic at Ecole Normale Superie ure de Musique in Paris with scholarship of the French Government where he acquired the “High diploma of Performance” Since 1985 he has been teaching the recorders and harmonica at the Civic Conservatoire of Kalamata . He is a founding member of the Kelsos Ensemble.

STAVROS KATIRTZOGLOU He is born in Athens . Studied the guitare in the Athens National Conservatory where has been graduated with Honnors. Continued his studies in Musical Theory and Composition with Pericles Koukos in the same School, where he has been graduated with Honnors and First Award. As a composer , his works wave been performed in many Athens music halls. Has published educational books .He studied Early Music as well as the Baroque and Renaissance Lute, performing in concerts and participating in Radio and Television recordings since 1989. He is teaching Music Theory in the Athens National Conservatory and the Pallini Musical High School .

ÇÅ LGA GIANNOULAS She is born in Magdeburg Germany . Studied Church Music ( Ecclesiastic Orgue , Piano and Choir Direction ), as well as Viola da Gamba in the University of L u beck , where she has been graduated. She is Organist and Choir Director in the German Church of Athens . Has performed numerous concerts in Germany and Greece , and participated in Radio and Television recordings with the “Early Music Workshop” and the Ensemble Kelsos.

FÅNI NOUSIA She is born in Athens . Studied Classical Song and Early Music in Athens , Koln Musikhochschule and England with E.Kirkby and A . Parrot. She is graduated in Archaeology from the University of Thessaloniki . Has collaborated with the Third Programme of ERA (Hellenic National Radio) as musical producer. She is a member of the ERA Choir. Participated as soloist in concerts with the “Early Music Workshop” and the Ensemble Kelsos, as well as in Radio and Television recordings.

IOANNA OMORFOPOULOU She is born in Piraeus . Studied Sculpture in the Athens School of Fine Arts with Professor D.Kalamaras, where she has been graduated with Honnors and First Award. Continued her studies in Sculpture and Painting in the “Ecole des Arts Decoratifs” in Paris . Lives and works in Athens . Has translated in greek the art books “Ecrits sur l'Art” by Henri Matisse, and “Kunst der Farbe” by Johannes Itten . Collaborates with the Ensemble Kelsos by selecting the pictorial subjects , preparing the texts and presenting the “Musical Travel in the Renaissance and Baroque period”.
